Consistent quality, reliable service

This was my third order from Kitchenshop. I've bought a few things from them over the past year – first a cast iron dutch oven, then some flatware, and this time a new coffee maker. Each time, the items have been exactly as described and high quality. The shipping is always consistent, usually arriving within a week. I know what to expect when I order from them, and they always deliver. It's why I keep coming back for kitchen stuff.

Good value on mixer

I was looking for a new stand mixer and found a good deal here. I signed up for their newsletter and got 10% off my first order, which was nice. Shipping was free because my order was over $100. It arrived pretty quickly, too. The mixer works well, and I felt like I got good value for my money, especially with the discount.

Good blender, slow support

I bought a high-speed blender last month from Kitchenshop. The ordering process was straightforward on their site, and it arrived in about 6 days, which was fine. The blender itself is excellent quality, really powerful for smoothies and soups. I had a question about one of the settings, so I emailed customer service. It took them almost 3 days to get back to me, which felt a bit long. Once they did, the answer was helpful. Usability of the blender is great, and it's been a good addition to my kitchen. Just wish support was a little quicker.

Nice knife set

I picked up one of those chef knife sets from Kitchenshop the other week. I needed some new knives, and these looked pretty decent. They got here in like 4 days, which was faster than I thought. The knives feel good in my hand, and they're sharp, which is what you want. No complaints, it was a pretty easy purchase all around.

Best non-stick skillet from Kitchenshop for everyday use?

N NehaSharma 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
T-Fal is usually a safe bet. They have some decent ones that hold up.

Looking for food storage containers. Glass or plastic from Kitchenshop?

A AlokKumar 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
Glass, always. No stains, no smells, lasts longer. Pyrex or Anchor Hocking are good.

P PriyaSharma 1 week ago
Totally agree. Healthier too.

S ShwetaJain 1 week ago
Glass is the best.

D DeepaRai 1 week ago
Plastic is lighter and cheaper, especially if you take lunch to work. Rubbermaid is decent.
8
A AlokKumar 1 week ago
I use plastic for grab-and-go.

Mix of both? Glass for home, plastic for travel.

What's a good first knife set to buy from Kitchenshop?

G GautamPillai 2 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
Don't buy a set. Get a good chef's knife and a paring knife. Victorinox is a good start.

P PriyaSharma 2 weeks ago
This is the way.

For a beginner, a decent Cuisinart set is fine. You can upgrade later.

Does Kitchenshop have a student discount? Trying to save some money.

A AnjaliReddy 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
I don't think they have a specific student discount. Your best bet is their first order discount if you haven't bought before.
11
N NikhilMehta 1 week ago
Yeah, first order is usually the biggest saving.

What's a good gift for someone who loves coffee? Kitchenshop items.

A ArjunSethi 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
A good French press or an electric kettle if they don't have one. Chemex is also a nice gift.

Don't forget a milk frother!

Any recommendations for a good quality but affordable cast iron dutch oven from Kitchenshop?

Lodge is the way to go for affordable cast iron. Kitchenshop usually carries them.

If you can catch a Le Creuset on sale, it's a lifetime buy. Keep an eye on holiday discounts.

Le Creuset is lovely but so much $$$.

Hey, wondering about shipping times to, like, upstate New York? Need a blender for a gift by next week.

N Noor 2 months ago
I ordered a stand mixer for my mom in Syracuse a few months ago, and it got there in about 4-5 business days. So if you order soon, you should be good.
6
L Laura Carter 2 months ago
Yeah, I think their standard shipping is usually 3-7 business days for most of the US. Might depend on the exact item though.
